Daily Stormer

From whoorwhatinthe.world

"Daily Stormer" or "The Daily Stormer",[6] is an openly neo-nationalist-socialist,[7] "white revolutionary", antisemitic,[8] sometimes satirical[9] Website founded by Andrew Anglin, who, according to "Salon", is "one of the three most influential figures in the alt-right".[10][11] Andrew has said: "I am an unapologetic fan of Adolf Hitler and the NSDAP."[12] In Mid-2017 he told CNN he lived in Lagos, Nigeria,[13] and he also said this on "Daily Stormer",[14] but "The Daily Dot" thinks he was trolling.[15] Some believe he lives in the Area around Cincinnati, Ohio,[11][16] while "USA Today" said in September 2017 that he "likely hasn't lived in Ohio for months".[1] Starting May 2017, a Castilian-Language-Version of "Daily Stormer", "El Daily Stormer", was also available.[5] Andrew's Work Partner[9] is Andrew "Weev" Auernheimer.

Andrew Anglin's Time in the Hellenic Republic

Andrew Anglin says he "spent almost a Year" in the Hellenic Republic prior to the Founding of "Daily Stormer". During this Time, he "spent a lot of Time going to Golden Dawn-Rallies and talking to these People and so on".[17] He says:

I viewed this at the Time as a Model for ... what any Resistance Movement is going to have to look like, where you have a social Organisation that's also a political Organisation and you kind of combine that to create a Culture within a Culture. And, um, what they Kind of said was that they'd based a Lot of their own Structure off of Hezbollah and, um, you know, I think that's ... how this basically has to happen.[18]

Origin of Name "Daily Stormer"?

The Southern Poverty Law Center asserts that "Daily Stormer" takes its Name from the antisemitic Pro-Third Reich-Newspaper "Der Stürmer",[19] which "was published by Julius Streicher from 1923 almost continuously through to the end of World War II". Julius published the first Copy of "Der Stürmer" on 20 April 2017, to respond to People who were accusing him of being "a liar, a coward, of having unsavory friends, mistreating his wife, and of flirting with women". The Judgement against him at Nürnberg called him "Jew-Baiter Number One".[20]

What Andrew Anglin says about what

Holocaust and Jews

Andrew Anglin has written an Article in his "Daily Stormer" saying "Hamas Makes Funny Comments on the Holohoax". In it, he says that "Iran seems to be the only Moslem country who is coming out and saying the facts: the Holocaust is a gigantic Hoax."[21] In the Title, he is referring to Part of a Speech made by Hamas MP Marwan Abu Ras in early 2015. Here is Part of that Speech:

France, which leads the Offense against the Prophet Muhammad in our Times, sends Thousands of Tons of Shells (to Israel). Germany, which wants to make Mmends for its historical Sin toward the Jews, does so at our Expense, as if through us it will atone for its Sins against the Jews. How is it our Fault? What did we have to do with your Burning of the Jews? Were the Jews burned for no Fault of their own? Their Conspiracies and Treachery are what led to their being burned. Their Deception and Plots against Humanity led to their being burned. They conspired against all People—even against those who were benevolent toward them. They stabbed in the Back even those who were good to them. They command no Good and forbid no Evil. Germany knows this full well. It is therefore the West that supplies this illegitimate, foundling, so-called "State" with Weapons of Destruction.[22]

Andrew doesn't want the Jews to be exterminated, rather he wants the Jews in the United States to be "rounded up and deported to Israel". In addition, he wants the US to cut off any type of support for Israel. He says that if aid is cut off, "they're just going to get exterminated by the Arabs anyway." He adds: "They made their bed, they can go ... lie in it."[23]

Tim Pool

In Andrew's Opinion, the Journalist Tim Pool is "objective" and "good".[24]

"Daily Stormer" has a strict No-Violence-Policy:

We here at the Daily Stormer are opposed to violence. We seek revolution through the education of the masses. When the information is available to the people, systemic change will be inevitable and unavoidable.
Anyone suggesting or promoting violence in the comments section will be immediately banned, permanently.[25]

From 2014 to late 2017, Andrew took "in about $250,000 worth of bitcoin, the cryptocurrency, from unknown sources, according to John Bambenek, a cybersecurity expert", says "The Atlantic".[26]

SPLC Lawsuit

On 18 April 2017, the SPLC filed a Lawsuit against Andrew Anglin in the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, Missoula Division, alleging he unleashed a "troll storm" on a Whitefish, Montana-Realtor named Tanya Gersh, who, according to "Daily Inter Lake", is "a member of the Jewish community".[19][27] Andrew had also planned to have an armed, "100% peaceful march" on Whitefish, with a Representative of Hamas, with whom he claims to have been in Contact, a Member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Representatives from France, the UK, Germany and Greece. He said that their Weapon-Inventory was going to include Machine-Guns, Baseball-Bats and Swords.[28] Tanya had called on Richard Spencer's Mother, Sherry Spencer, to sell a Building she owns at 22 Lupfer Avenue, Whitefish "and then use the money to help human rights causes". Tanya accused Sherry of "profiting off of the people of the local community, all the while having facilitated Richard’s work spreading hate by letting him live and use her home address for his organization", whereas Sherry has said she "loves her son, but does not agree with his 'extreme positions'".[29] Richard has called the SPLC's lawsuit "beyond ridiculous".[30] He has said that "Tanya punched first"[31] and dragged his mother "into the political fray".[32]

"Daily Stormer" is pushed off of dailystormer.com

On 13 August, in the wake of the Unite the Right rally, GoDaddy gave "Daily Stormer" a 24-hour notice that it would no longer host dailystormer.com, after it published a piece calling Heather D. Heyer, the woman who was hit by a car and died during the Unite the Right rally, "a fat, childless, 32-year-old sl**".[33][34][35][36] Following this, CloudFare decided to drop "Daily Stormer" as well. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, which promotes civil liberties, issued a statement slamming GoDaddy for its decision.[37] "Daily Stormer" tried to find a new home at dailystormer.wang and dailystormer.ru,[38] was banned from the dailystormer.ru because of intervention by the Russian Goverment,[39] and went on to dailystormer.lol,[38] after which it was banned by Namecheap, which resulted in its moving over to the Dark Web and out of Google search results.[40] On 24 August 2017, "Daily Stormer" tried punishedstormer.com, but after a couple hours the domain stopped working and it had to fall back to the Dark Web.[41][42]

Andrew Anglin denies being a "Neo-Nazi White Supremacist"

In an Article titled "Punished Stormer: Denied a Domain by Jews and Pedophile-Enablers", written shortly after "Daily Stormer" was pushed off the Internet and into the Dark Web,[43][44] Andrew Anglin made the argument that the Internet is a public utility that he was being denied access to, much like being denied heat in the winter by a private company, and that the government must therefore regulate it. Soon, Andrew wrote, "normie Republicans" were going to be denied access to the Internet as well. A little further on Andrew wrote that he wasn't a "Neo-Nazi White Sumpremacist", as the media was alleging.[45] In an interview with David Winter in January 2017,[46] he had said: "I identify with Neonazism."[7]

Andrew Anglin's Girlfriend leaves him

On 27 August 2017, Andrew Anglin's girlfriend left him after he "threw a glass in her direction, simply meant to scare her into silence not actually hit her", he wrote on Gab. She later texted him an Apology, but he didn't "have the energy to respond".[47]

Andrew Anglin's Interview with Tara McCarthy

Andrew Anglin and Greg Johnson were interviewed by talk show host Tara McCarthy on 28 August 2017. In the interview, Tara asked Andrew for his take on the Unite the Right rally. Andrew responded that if would have organised the rally there wouldn't have been any flags with swastikas, "only American flags, the normal American flag".[48]

Andrew Anglin deletes Gab Post

Around 29 August 2017, Andrew Anglin posted a post on Gab with a picture showing Heather Heyer, the woman who died at the Unite the Right rally, alive on the left, dead and lying atop a car on the right, and above, the words: "INTERNET FATTIES: LEARN THE TRUTH."[49] This led to Gab facing the ultimatum that it either made the post disappear or it would lose its domain, gab.ai. Dismayed, Gab stated on medium.com that the post would come down, but that it would be "looking for a new registrar".[50] Andrew was told about the situation and responded: "I guess just delete all the posts that they tell you to delete until you can find a new solution. And I will renew my support."[51] Later that day, 4 September, Andrew wrote in a post: "[Gab CEO Andrew] Torba you told me I violated ToS, which was apparently a lie."[52] In another post, Andrew Anglin wrote: "I didn't violate ToS, I was lied to and told I did. But whatever. If the plan is to fix this, then okay."[53] Andrew Anglin was also upset[54] that Andrew Torba had written that people were racing "to judgement and hysteria with very little information" and that they were "snowflakes".[52] Andrew Torba said to Andrew Anglin that he wanted him to take down his own post,[55] which Andrew Anglin did, "Because @a [Andrew Torba] asked nicely - and more importantly, because he has promised a solution".[56]
