Open-air Feine Sahne Fischfilet concert in 2014
Feine Sahne Fischfilet (Fine Cream Fish Fillet) is a leftist,[1] anti-statist[2] German band. It has been under surveilance by the government for years now.[3] In it's song "Staatsgewalt" ("State Authority") from its album "Backstage mit Freunden" ("Backstage with Friends"), it advocates for violence against the police. This is a portion of the song:[1][4]
We gather our own troops together and send the mob against you. The police helmets -- they will fly. We will fight you with your sticks in your faces and send you to Bavaria, because the Baltic Sea should be free from pigs.[4]

Politician Heiko Maas has come under fire for praising the band after a concert in Anklam on 24 August 2016, tweeting: "Wonderful token against xenophobia and racism. Thank you Anklam, Campino, Marteria and Feine Sahne Fischfilet!"[4] The concert was held to try to sway people to not vote for rightist parties before the elections in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.[5]
